In February 2015, the Coppell City Council awarded a construction contract for Andy Brown East Erosion/Trail Stabilization and Levee Pedestrian Bridge project, to Core Construction. The project consists of the installation of sea walls and trail stabilization around the lake edge for the lake located on the East side of Moore Road Park. The project will also include the installation of a pedestrian bridge over Denton Creek located in the North East corner of the Andy Brown Park system.
Construction is scheduled to begin the week of March 9, 2015, with a construction time of 180 calendar days. Citizens should expect to experience trail closures and limited access to the lake, as well as the closure of the disc golf course beginning March 2015 through October 2015.
