Holiday Tree Lighting

We're moving the Holiday festivities to Andrew Brown Park East!

Saturday, December 7

6:00 - 9:00 PM
Andrew Brown Park East

260 Parkway Blvd.

FREE

LIGHTED Mini-PARADE in the park

The new location isn’t the only change this year. This year’s lighted parade is going motor-free! Join us for a mini-parade in the park, featuring wagons, strollers, bikes, pets, families, community groups all decked out with twinkling holiday lights! Line the parade route early for the best spot. Watch for the “Best Individual,” “Most Creative,” and “Most Holiday Spirit” winners and pick your favorites as they go by. The parade will travel around the west lawn at Andrew Brown Park East. For safety reasons, all entries in the mini-parade must be non-motorized.

Interested in joining the lighted mini-parade lineup? Round up your organization, business, or friends and register your parade entry! There is no charge; however, all organizations must register by Monday, November 25 and have a representative at the mandatory parade meeting on Monday, December 2.

Tree Lighting Celebration

After the parade, experience holiday fun at the park! The crowd will countdown to the lighting of the 50ft tree, the largest tree yet. Enjoy bounce houses, face painting, holiday decoration crafting stations, and take photos with Santa and his many helpers. Listen as traditional carolers perform your holiday favorites while snacking on holiday treats, available for purchase from Liberation Coffee and Doughnut Snob. Complimentary popcorn will be available from Coppell Parks & Recreation.

FAMILY COMMUNITY HOLIDAY TREE

Can’t make it to the park on December 7? You can join in the holiday cheer all month long! In Coppell’s newest holiday season tradition, stop by the Family Community Holiday Tree and donate an ornament! Share a bauble that represents your favorite hobbies, places, or family – the possibilities are endless! The tree will be on display all month long at the Grand Pavilion at Andrew Brown Park East.

Please note, all donations are final and will not be returned/replaced at the conclusion of the month.

Holiday Scavenger Hunt

The Holiday Scavenger Hunt is UNDERWAY!

Holiday fun is hidden all over the city! Figure out the clues (posted daily to social media the week of December 2) and find each of the five holiday mascots hidden around town, pose for a photo with each, and upload the pictures to social media with the hashtag #coppellholidays. Be sure to also tag the City of Coppell on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Once you snap a photo at each location, head to Town Center, 255 Parkway Blvd., to claim your prize (while supplies last)!

Participants have from December 2 through January 3, 2020 to pose with our special Holiday Mascots. A PDF of the clues will be available for download on December 6.

This year, you can get in on the fun at our Holiday event! Take a photo with each of the Holiday Mascots then bring them to the Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 7 to win a prize!

Happy #coppellholidays!
