The City of Coppell has announced that Dennis Quinn has been chosen to take over the role of Director of Library Services, effective immediately. Quinn has served as the interim Director of Library Services since November 2018, when former Library Director Vicki Chiavetta was selected as the City's new Deputy City Manager.
"Dennis has proven to be an asset to the City from the start," Chiavetta said. "He jumped right in, tackling building and technology issues after the library reopening, and he has been instrumental in the completion of several major projects along the way. His leadership and passion for service will continue to take the library to new heights."
Quinn has been with the City of Coppell since 2017 as the Assistant Director of Library Services, overseeing many of the library's major updates, including the sound masking system and construction of the canopy trellis, which provides additional shade to the outdoor seating area.
Prior to his time at Coppell, Quinn served the City of Duncanville as Cataloging Librarian and Library Director. He has a Bachelor of Music in Music History and Literature and a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Texas. He lives in Arlington with his wife Lindsay, their two children and three dogs.
