cloudLibrary: Now Home to eAudio and eBooks

​​The Cozby Library and Community Commons is pleased to announce that the library’s entire eBook and eAudiobook collection (currently hosted by RBdigital) will be available through cloudLibrary beginning November 14th, 2018. The majority of our purchased RBdigital content will be transferred to cloudLibrary. Subscription content or titles exclusive to RBdigital will not transfer. Holds placed on RBdigital titles will not transfer, so patrons may place new holds in cloudLibrary starting on November 15th.

We are making this switch for two major reasons: ease of use and increased content. Our eBooks and eAudiobooks will now be hosted in one simple app. Through cloudLibrary, we are also members of cloudLink. This program allows us to share digital collections with other participating Texas libraries. Our community will now have access to more than 11,000 eAudiobooks, over twice as many as before. In order to access cloudLibrary, first download the cloudLibrary app​, then log in with your library card number and library account password. Now you’re ready to check out eAudiobooks!​​

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are we making a change?

We are always looking for opportunities to provide better services at a better value. We believe that cloudLibrary will provide a more user-friendly interface, more availability of items, and will provide access to additional titles.

When are we changing platforms?

Our purchased RBdigital titles will be available on cloudLibrary starting November 15th, 2018. We have already begun purchasing our new eAudiobook titles in cloudLibrary, so search the app for current new releases.

Will my holds be transferred from RBdigital to cloudLibrary?

No, holds will not be transferred to cloudLibrary. You will be able to place holds on titles after they are available in cloudLibrary. Some eAudiobooks may already be available for checkout in cloudLibrary. Search the cloudLibrary app to discover available titles.​

What will happen to my holds or checked out items in RBdigital?

As of October 4th, holds in RBdigital will be limited to one request. This will not affect any existing holds, but you could not place additional requests that would exceed the new limit.

As of November 1st, checkouts in RBdigital will be limited to one item. This will not affect any items already checked out, but you could not check out additional items that would exceed the new limit.

As of November 14th, all RBdigital eAudiobook titles will no longer be available.

How much of the current RBdigital eAudiobook collection will transfer to the new platform?

The majority of our purchased eAudiobook collection will transfer to cloudLibrary. The main exceptions are subscription content or exclusive RBdigital titles.

What devices will work with eAudiobooks?

There are many ways to listen to eAudiobooks. CloudLibrary is app-based, so it will work on app-capable devices such as an iPhone or iPad, iPod touch, Android phone or tablet, and the Kindle Fire HD/HDX . You can also listen through a basic web browser. For a full list of supported devices and instructions, please visit cloudLibrary’s website.

What if I don’t remember my password?

Your password may be the last four digits of your phone number. You may also click the “forgot my password” link on our catalog. Your password will be sent to the email address that we have on file.

How many eAudiobooks may I check out or place on hold?

You may have seven items checked out from cloudLibrary at one time. This may be any combination of eAudiobooks and eBooks. Each item will check out for 21 days. You may also place up to seven items on hold. Once your hold is available, you will have seven days to check it out to your account. If you do not check out your hold, it will go onto the next person in line after seven days.

Will I still have access to eMagazines?

Yes, we will continue providing downloadable magazines through RBdigital.​
