Coppell 5K & Fun Run

Get some exercise and a great view of the newly renovated Andrew Brown Park system all while supporting the Special Olympics at the 8th Annual Get You In Shape Coppell 5K and Fun Run! This year's event will begin at 8:00 am at Andrew Brown Park West, 363 N Denton Tap Rd, on July 1, kicking off Celebrate Coppell, the City's annual Independence Day celebration, as well as the grand re-opening of Andrew Brown Park East!

For the past seven years, Get You In Shape, a Coppell-based fitness company in partnership with the City of Coppell, has hosted the Coppell 5K and Fun Run benefiting Coppell Special Olympics. The Coppell Special Olympics receives 90 percent of its funding from this one event making community participation and support so important.

"The support and sponsorship for the local community has been outstanding," Brad Linder, Owner of Get You In Shape, said. "Our goal for the 8th Annual Get You in Shape Coppell 5K is to continue to rally around these athletes with special needs and provide the financial support this great organization needs."

There are several ways for members of the community to get involved and help Get You In Shape reach this year's $10,000 goal allowing Coppell Special Olympics to provide athletes with uniforms, equipment and practice space.
