If you live in Coppell, you likely have a connection to the Coppell Community Gardens. Established in 1998, organic produce from CCG has reached thousands of people through produce donated, community plant sales, and visits to school gardens. Perhaps you've just wandered through to see what's growing when you happen to be at the post office or City Hall. Whatever the connection, the gardens welcome you to celebrate some benchmarks of the organization's growth and impact.
The Coppell Community Garden recently surpassed three major milestones:
The third garden has been producing for several months and will offer more opportunities to seniors and people with limited mobility with the addition of waist-high garden beds. It is called the Old Town Coppell Garden and is located next to the Coppell Senior and Community Center at 345 W. Bethel Road. Produce from each garden is donated to the Metrocrest Services Food Pantry in Farmers Branch (metrocrestservices.org). Residents may learn more about the gardens at coppellcommunitygarden.org.
