'Make a Child Smile' This Holiday Season

For more than 20 years, the City of Coppell has sponsored the "Make A Child Smile" holiday program, encouraging community members to donate gifts to deserving children in Coppell ISD. In 2018, gifts were purchased for approximately 400 children in Coppell who may not have otherwise received a present. The community is encouraged to participate once again to provide for local families.

"This is a special time for the City of Coppell. Each year, our staff is excited to partner with our residents to bring smiles to children for the holidays," said City Manager Michael Land. "We are looking forward to yet another year of the program and hope to serve even more families."

How to Donate:

  1. Through Monday, December 9, stop by the City Manager's Office to choose a paper ornament that includes a child's gift preferences, clothing sizes, and more. Ornament requests can also be made online at
  2. Purchase clothing and/or toys for the child. The program's goal is to provide at least one toy and one article of clothing for each child.
  3. Return all wrapped gifts, with the paper ornament attached, to the City Manager's Office no later than Tuesday, December 10. City staff will deliver the gifts prior to Christmas.

The City Manager's Office is located on the second floor of Town Center, 255 E. Parkway Blvd. and is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except during holiday hours.
