The Coppell Community Chorale will present its spring concert, “Mood Music,” at the Coppell Center for the Arts on May 14, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. and May 15, at 3 p.m. The concert is the finale of the choir’s 2015 – 2016 Concert Season.

The concert features choral arrangements celebrating aspects of various moods and feelings. It will include favorites like “Bring Him Home” from Les Miserables and “Wheels of a Dream” from Ragtime, as well as new pieces like Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” and “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele.

The Coppell Community Chorale celebrates its 30th year anniversary in 2016. The choir brings together singers of all ages from Coppell and the surrounding communities. Its mission is to promote a greater appreciation and enjoyment of quality music throughout the greater Coppell community. 

The choir performs under the direction of Maestro Duilio Dobrin. Dobrin is an award-winning conductor who has performed in venues both nationally and internationally. Additionally, he is a composer, arranger, and educator. In 2013, he was appointed to a teaching position at the University of North Texas at Dallas. 

As the final concert of the Chorale season, the groups looks forward to its 30th Anniversary concert in November 2016 as well as a community Holiday concert in December 2016.  2017 will be highlighted with two spring concerts in February and May.  The choir does not meet during the summer; rehearsals for the fall concert begin August 15, 2016.

Tickets for the spring concert are $10 for ages 13 and up, $5 for children ages 3 to 12, and free for children younger than 3. Tickets for the performances may be purchased in advance from​ or at the door at the Coppell Center for the Arts, 157 S. Moore Rd., Coppell. For more information, call 972-595-8093.
