Shop Local on Small Business Saturday

The City of Coppell encourages all residents to shop small! This holiday season, make a commitment to support local retailers and join the City of Coppell for Small Business Saturday on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 30.

"When you shop at our small businesses, our community benefits, our businesses benefit, and our economy benefits," said Mindi Hurley, Director of Community Development. "Coppell has a variety of small retailers that offer one-of-a-kind products that you can't find anywhere else."

When community members shop locally, a portion of the sales tax collected is returned to the City of Coppell which allows the City to fund multiple programs and amenities that can be enjoyed by the community at large.

"When you support Coppell businesses, you're investing in the City," Hurley stated. "Not only do you get to meet your neighbors, discover interesting stores and purchase one-of-a-kind items, but you are also helping to fund the great projects that the City has planned. When you shop locally, you help ensure that our economy remains strong and our workforce thrives. If every resident in Coppell were to spend $25 at a local business on Small Business Saturday, it would infuse $1.02 million into our local economy!"
