The Coppell Arts Center is kicking off its inaugural Arts Madness contest on March 21. The three-week long Broadway bracket challenge will follow the NCAA March Madness teams, ending on April 8.
Interested participants can go to coppellartscenter.org to download an Arts Madness Bracket, and will fill it out with either their favorite college basketball team or Broadway show. To enter the contest, participants need to post a photo of their completed bracket to the Coppell Arts Center Facebook page.
"We will award several coveted prizes throughout the competition," said Alex Hargis, Managing Director of the Coppell Arts Center. "There will be gift cards to Old Town Coppell restaurants, concert tickets, and, of course, the grand prize for the bracket champion: a pair of tickets to see Hamilton at Fair Park."
Prizes will be awarded for the best brackets at The Sweet 16, Elite Eight, Final Four, and Championship benchmarks. The bracket standings for determining Arts Madness winners will be identical to the bracket standings for the regular NCAA March Madness competition.
"This is just another creative way for the Coppell Arts Center to engage our community as we excitedly await the opening of the venue," said Mike Land, Coppell City Manager. "Once open, the Coppell Arts Center will feature live music, theatre, art exhibits, and more."
The Coppell Arts Center is located in Old Town Coppell and is expected to open in Spring of 2020. More information about the Coppell Arts Center and the Arts Madness contest can be found at coppellartscenter.org.
