The Friends of the Coppell Public Library actively promote library programs and increase library resources through a variety of activities. Friends also volunteer to help out at local community events and library programs. The Friends have a vision to build a community of library advocates in order to enhance the Cozby Library experience. It is their mission to enhance the library experience by creating public awareness, fostering community spirit, and bringing new programs to the library. Want to join the Friends? If you have ever been in the library during the summer, you know how busy it is! Since we are so busy, we rely on the help of our "volunteens". The volunteens work at the Summer Reading Program Desk, registering children for the program and distributing prizes, or they help us with our special events. All volunteens must be Coppell residents, between the ages of 12 and 17. The volunteer opportunities will be made available every spring. Check with the library for more details.
This is an unique way to earn service hours and give back to your community. Coppell Residents in high school are invited to apply for The League of Extraordinary Teens. This group will help plan select library programs. The volunteer opportunities will be made available every fall. Check with the library for more details.
The Front Desk keeps a list of local organizations that offer service hours to teens. The list is updated each spring. Stop by the library to get a list.
